Flipping burgers. I found I can make as much money as I would get at a fast food joint doing something on my own. That doesn't mena it would be enough to get by. This issue isn't employment, it's gainful employment.
I see your points, but when Zach's dad was unemployed (which was always) it ticked me off that he could not just settle for something until something better came along. Some $ is better than no $!
For this one: best friend- that way you are losing two people you cared about!
So true Thump! Glad to see you joined us!! This one is tough, since no of us are really over the hill. But I would have to say being over the hill is probably going to stink.
Getting caught. My parents would've never let me live it down if they caught me.
Being stood up. It's worse than being turned down because it's like an extra slap in the face.
Being underage, but then again, I am the youngest here. But being underage, you still aren't allowed to do anything (technically, I still can't rent a car!), and you are treated with no respect. What difference does age make? It's your maturity level that matters. (But I'm not bitter, right?)
1. Being unemployed. I agree that some money is better than no money and you can still look for a job while you're flipping burgers. As long as you don't settle for flipping burgers, you're fine.
2. Best friend. That would be a betrayal.
3. Catching your parents. It would negate my whole theory that has kept me sane that says that it falls off when you're 40. I don't want to think of my parents doing THAT. Of course, the closer I get to 40...
4. Being stood up. At least when you're turned down, it's quick and to the point. You get over it. Getting ready for a date, getting your hopes up and then having them not show up would be horrible.
5. Being over the hill. At least when you are underage, you know you will get there eventually. There's no going back from being over the hill.
