Holy carp!

Morning all. It has been a busy and annoying one to start. I hate it here.

Work on.

Howdy.

Yeah, it is a Monday.

I had the van scheduled for service to see if they could figure out how to stop a squeak I have in the dash. It's just a little right of center, where the dash meets the windshield. It is very annoying. It sounds like rubber squeaking against the glass on the slightest bump or twist of the van. We had a thunderstorm come through last night so it was wet and cool this morning . . . guess what . . . no squeak. So, they had no idea what I was talking about. They sent me on my way to wait for it to start up again then I'll take it back so they can hear it.

Our church is having a baptism/pool party this coming Sunday. They boy decided that he wants to be baptized so we're meeting with the youth pastor today to talk about how that will go down. My brother and nephew are also on the list for a dunking. It will be a neat experience.

I gotta practice music. We're doing a "concert" in the park Thursday night. We have 11 songs planned. I've never played that many different songs in a row at one time before. It will be fun though.

That is ALWAYS the way it works.  The car NEVER makes the sound around a mechanic!

Good morning one and all. I'm officially tired of of the overtime now. I appreciate the extra cash but I really want a full two day weekend again. Three more weekends to go, I can hardly wait.

I've gotta try to shake the rust of this morning so I can get to the bank and open a new checking account. I definitely seem to have a case of the Monday blahs.

I hope everyone has a quick and easy day!

I love when the boss understands me, takes my side and backs me up. It may not do any good for either of us, but it does prove that (once again) I am correct. The guy who ticket me off this morning and started this can now bite me.

Ha! In your face annoying coworker! Fuzzy, now the understanding boss needs to give you a raise.

Sometimes it takes more than a raise to make a job tolerable.

You're right Mz. Sometimes a raise doesn't cover the amount of carp a person has to deal with.
I think this would make the day tollerable, at least...

It is the brown noser annoying coworker who thinks he knows everything. The same jerk who has easily managed four promotions in the four years. I honestly think that he doesn't understand that I know how to do my job or believe what I tell him. He tried to insert himself in my audit theis morning. I asked him whay and he gave me the, "Because I want to be involved" answer. I'm waiting for hime to run to the big boss and tell him what I said. And even though he is in the wrong, somehow I will look like the badguy. It is not his place to be involved. He needs to go back his own department and try managing his extremely large group that contains a lot of people who don't know how to do or don't care about what they do. How many times must I tell him that his department is killing me? If they knew how to read or cared about doing what was right, then I wouldn't have problems during an audit and there would be no need for him to think he has to be involved. Have I mentioned this is the same guy who just got to promote three people and hire another. What a bunch of {insert all expletives here}.

So I warned my boss about it. He told me he has my back, so we are good.

As much as my boss would like to give me a raise and we have shown how I have deserved it, we have lost that battle with those above us.

The auditor was supposed to be here today and tomorrow. She told me when she arrived (10am) that she wouldn't be here tomorrow because of mandatory training. She also said she would be leaving by 3:30. Ah, the life of an auditor. You're travel time is allocated into your workday. By 3:15pm she was ready to go. With all the prep I had to do for this audit, I didn't think she'd make it through the expenses today. After all, she had six months worth of expenses in 13 accounts. At 3pm she handed me her flash drive to copy the file and she told me she was done with the expenses. I tried to keep from doing a jawdrop. I'm guessing she looked at a lot of national names and knows they tax so she skipped them. Now I feel so, well, I'm not sure what word I want here. I busted my tail getting this crap in order, spending so much time on it and made my notes on everything and she was done in two hours. Nonetheless, she'll be back in about six weeks for a followup for some items I still owe her. Time to analyze her remarks and then provide the information to clear the outstanding items.
