I volunteered at the Waukesha Bluesfest both Friday/Saturday afternoons. Free live blues in the park. Sweet. I volunteer with WMSE, a college radio station that, on occasion, I get a chance to sit in on a show or two with my brother. Car show on Sunday, still don't have my car back from the upholstery shop. There was a Who tribute band, Substitute playing Who covers. They weren't too good on most songs but, fun to think back on all the good music I grew up with.
Cruised 130 miles in the little SW2 Saturn cranking some old tapes. Roxy Music, Rain Parade, The Feelies, The Exploited, Suicidal Tendencies, Husker Du.

We hung out with friends a lot this weekend. A few months ago, Brian got into an argument with a couple that's friends with us over something little and stupid, and they said they didn't want him around anymore. They said I was more than welcome to still come over, but obviously I didn't (I mean, how weird would that be?). Well, Friday, they called Brian and worked things out, and we all cooked out together yesterday. It's nice to be friends again.
That is cool that you were able to work things out with your friends. We have one of those situations too. A couple that were good friends got into some tense situations at Mrs Web's work. They seem to avoid her now, but they still talk to me. We don't do anything with them as a couple any more. I still fly kites with them and we just don't talk about the weirdness.
I'm home with the boy today-Wednesday. We thought we'd give him a few days at home to reprogram from the sitter's and get himself ready to go back to school on Thursday.
The van is back in the shop, hopefully to get the squeak fixed.
We had a great turn out for the baptisms at the pool last night. 12 people including Web Jr. took the plunge. The old pool has a few days left, then it will be closed and torn down. The new pool is under construction right next to this one. It's bitter-sweet. The old pool has lots of memories, and it is an Olympic size pool so we can host big meets in the summer. The new pool is only 1/2 as big, but to afford it, it was either that or nothing.
I was asked to take photos last night. I'm processing them now and am currently uploading some to my photo space so the church and pick the ones they want to keep and to get prints for participants. I took 430 shots in high speed continuous mode. I'm down to 277 now with more thinning to come. I've gotten all the baptism shots processed, I still have to go through the candid and pool action pics.
Rainy Monday morning to you all. We have had a good bit of rain since Saturday afternoon. We are due for some more. Since the rain arrived earlier than anticipated Saturday, I did not get the lawn mowed. Looks like things may dry out in time for a Wednesday evening mowing.
Now, back to work.

Good friends are hard to find/keep these days. Good to hear. Hope it stays good for all.
