After four months of applying I finally got the invite to test for a job with the local community college MATC. It's for the position of Building Associate, which is a mix of custodial and maintenance work.
My hope is that if I got it I could eventually transfer to the branch two blocks from my house.
The benefits aren't as good as my current job, but it's essentially a government job so it pays really well (as a Republican I'd say it pays way TOO well for what it is). The best part is it would be second shift, so you guys would be stuck with me coming around a lot more often.
So please send your prayers and positive vibes toward Wisconsin from 8:30 - 12:30 Friday morning. That's when I'll be taking the test. Yes, it's a FOUR HOUR written test! Crazy hey?
