NMW is on again (although I almost forgot about it).
Last week I was broke so I never got to buy a new disc for the weekend, this week I have the Berlin disc, BUT I had to omit one cut (Down & Dirty) because it drops the F-Bomb.
You may THINK she's dropping the F-Bomb (Terri Nunn that is) on the cut "Erotic City", but she's actually saying "Funk", so I let it slide.
I actually asked her what she was thinking when she wrote that line, she declined to answer
The letter she sent back was really nice though. On fancy schmancy stationary, apologizing for the long delay in getting back to me, blaming it on a move of her offices that caused a bunch of fan mail to be thrown in a mislabeled box.
It was pretty cool.
The song with that line was off her only solo album "Moment of truth". I think the song was "Confession Time", hmm, now I must play it
For a cover album, so far, it's been pretty good. I think I like her version of Dope Show better than Marilyn Manson's! But I haven't heard the Bowie cover yet, so I'm reserving final judgement...
pretty neat and rather unconventional choice (which is good). I am curious, is this the classic 80's Berlin lineup or the more recent Terri Nunn and backup lineup? I remember seeing them on Bands Reunited a couple years ago and thought it'd be nice if the original band got back together again.

I think it's still up for debate which was used on Erotic City. I know the "Jammin Oldies" station we used to have here (then it became a neo-soul station) used to play the Prince version of that song and they'd blur out that part of the song.
