What's playing in your ride?

I have Styx greatest hits, Toby Keith;s greatest hits II and  Madonna's Immaculate Collection on cd and Nuclear Furniture by Starship on tape. I also have the Lion King and the Little Mermaid sing a long on cassette.

Makes for a great mix when radio stinks!

I've got David Bowie's Reality CD, Roger Waters' Amused to Death, and a few mixed CDs. My drive to work is only 10 minutes, so I usually listen to the radio unless all channels have commercials.

When we went to London, I found that not having a ride was not a big deal. The mass transit system there seems pretty good Ultimo.

It is pretty pointless having a car in London, with the amount of traffic and congestion charges, it is a nightmare but in the rest of the country a car is very usefull, I will have to get round to learning soon!

I've got Springsteens Born to Run, a U2 bootleg concert from '87, and 3 cds this big Gerry Mulligan fan I work with gave me with all sorts of stuff on them. BUt they still haven't killed the broadcast jazz station here in town yet like they were talking about, so that is still on primarily.

Born to Run is an excellent driving to cd!! Good on the highway!

Our town is so small that rides are only a few minutes. Not worth the time to mess with it so I just have the radio on. Depending on the time of day, makes a difference on which station (news/music).

If I'm going very far, I use a cassette adapter and plug my laptop into that so I have all my mp3's along for the ride.

Ruby, I'm likin' the Jefferson Starship CD! One of my favorites from them.

In my car right now it's totally 80's. I have Survivor - Vital Signs, Foreigner - Agent Provacatuer, Pointer Sisters - Breakout, Glenn Frey - Solo Collection, REO Speedwagon - Wheels Are Turnin, Scandal - Warrior, and a few mix CD's.

I have a little of everything in my car--probably about 40 CD's from Country to Rock.  However, I mostly listen to XM.

LS I thought about posting this all week!

I don't have a CD changer in my car so I just have one cd in the player. There are other ones in a case in there, but I don't know everyting in that right now.

I have been in a Alternative/Rock mood lately so this is a cd that I burned:

Godsmack- Whatever

Audioslave- Show Me How To Live

Seether featuring Amy Lee- Broken

Stroke 9- Little Black Backpack

Sugarcult- Bouncing Off The Walls

Hole- Celebrity Skin

Garbage- I Think I'm Paranoid

Buckcherry- Lit Up

Crossfade- Cold

Oleander- Why I'm Here

Our Lady Peace- Thief

Franz Ferdinand- Take Me Out

Arctic Monkeys- I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor

INXS- Pretty Vegas

American Hi-Fi - Flavour Of The Week

Yellowcard- Ocean Avenue

Bush- The Chemicals Between Us

Linkin Park- Breaking The Habit

Our Lady Peace- Clumsy

Hole- Violet

Sometimes I just need songs that bring out the screaming in me!

I thought that it was just me sometimes that needed the loud, great beat songs.

One CD at a time here too. But a few floating around in the car currently:

Black Eyed Peas - Monkey Business   (This would be one of those loud CD's. I know most of you wouldn't be listening to these guys.)

Arctic Monkeys- Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not

Suspects - Hot File

Kaiser Chiefs - Employment

80s Energy Mix

Steely Dan - A Decade of Steely Dan

Collective Soul - 7even Year Itch

And there are a few 70s collection CD in there too.

I almost always have the jazz station on, unless there is a ballgame on. And if I am going for a long ride, I have only 2 cds that will do.

Born to Run and Joshua Tree. These cds make driving fun.

I've got a mixed CD in my car right now. I think it's got a little bit of everything, from Aerosmith, to Jimmy Buffett, to King Crimson, to Martha and the Vandellas.

I loooooove Stroke 9- Little Black Backpack.  We had tickets to see Buck Cherry last week, but the show was "postponed due to illness."  Hopefully, it'll be rescheduled.  Their new album is very good - check it out if you haven't already done so.

Hooray someone that knows "Little Black Backpack"! I like the little angry songs! Hubby can't sing the tongue twister but he likes it too.

Were you talking about the new Buckcherry album being good? I haven't heard it yet.

The other song I love off that Stroke 9 album is "Washin' & Wonderin'"  That is so cute.  I was really really disappointed with their "All In" album.  I really didn't find anything of value on that one.  The others I haven't heard yet.

Yes, I was talking about the new Buck Cherry being good.
