One woman who decided she had enough of social injustice took a quiet stand... and changed history and advanced race relations in this country forever.
This is a great example of how one person can truly change the world for the better.
Even one small act of kindness can have a ripple effect of tremendous value.
Mrs. Web showed me a political "cartoon" that was really good.
It was a flying bus and on the charter sign it said "Heaven". It had just pulled up next to a woman waiting on a floating cloud bus stop. The caption was the bus driver saying "You can sit where ever you'd like Mrs. Parks".
That is good web. Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words....unless it is a picture of Riggs...that would be priceless...vampires dont photograph well from what I hear
I saw that on Springer too. It was scary. He took of his shirt and shorts and flashed the audience. I have not recovered yet.
However, very good thought Dylan. Since I missed today, I will make a point of two random acts of kindness tomorrow? Has anyone had the good dead almost backfire? I once asked for a family's bill at a restarurant be brought to me. I paid it and told the waiter to only convey the message that I admired this family and how close they all seemed to be and how well behaved the children were. The mother went postal. She demaned to know who paid the bill, and said she does not accept charity. I told her it was only charity if she asked for it, and told her that she needed to learn to receive graciously. That made it worse.
I had an experience in the same vein...I held the door for a girl when I was in my late twenties while I was going into the office building I worked in and she slapped me saying she didnt need any man holding her door...
I said she was right, grabbed her by the back of her coat collar and walked her back to the street and then walked in.
Thank you for your kind words. I have discovered, and need this especially now, that when you lose yourself in the service of others, the blessings you get back are ten fold. So really, I am selfish. I just need the blessings.
This is one of the reasons I am so jealous of, I can't recall if it was Molly or MZ. What a great person she is and has a great relationship with her husband.
