Fan faces charges over snatching ball

I've got so many comments I could make on this one, but I think I'll be nice and let everyone else make them.

Fan faces charges over snatching ball from Favre

Associated Press
Nov. 1, 2005 09:05 AM

CINCINNATI - The Bengals 12th man now faces criminal charges. Gregory Gall was busted after he dashed onto the field during Sunday's game and snatched the football from Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre.

Gall pleaded innocent Monday to a number of charges, including resisting arrest, trespass and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

The incident occurred during the last minute of the game, with Green Bay on the Cincinnati 28. Cincinnati was leading 21-14.

Officials blew the play dead, interrupting the Packers offense and allowing the Bengals to regroup. The drive stalled and the Bengals won.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis joked the team should pay the fan 20 bucks. But Bengals officials promise to increase security at Paul Brown Stadium.

CP No one on the Packers made excuses

Football has an ebb an flow anyway.....a player could have been hurt, stopping play etc...

they lost because they made mistakes...no excuses.

Big Ben is on the sideline this week. Charlie Batch is starting for Pittsburgh. I think the Packers odds just got better!!!
