The son issue is dead, for lack of any better term. Not taboo. He and I just are building a friendly relationship. I took him out to the mall and bought him new glasses, clothes, shoes etc. I guess I am going to be more of a big brother than a dad. Oh, well. Not his fault his mother is a creep. She screamed at me for spending money on him, and not giving the money to her to choose what he should have. Now you know what type of person she is.
Glad to hear you have the right attitude! Also glad that you did not turn your back on him. I knew from the get go what kind of woman you were dealing with. But your presence should offset hers in his life.
