Phew, got it done.

I have a friend in Lincoln that left a chest of drawers with me to refinish when I "got time". That was quite a while ago. After we decided to spend this coming weekend in Lincoln, I decided I'd try to get it done so we could take it along and surprise he and his wife with it. This is what I've been working on in the shop for the last week or so.

Anyway, it's all finished. I think he'll be happy.

Thanks guys . . . I'm just happy to have it done.

My friend was starting to hint around about when I might get to it. This guy is 47 and just got married for the first time two years ago. This is his wife's and it has some family history with her.

So, actually, she will be the happy one. He'll just be happy that she's happy.

I called my friend today and through the course of the conversation asked what their plans were for the weekend. He has no clue we are coming.

He asked again about the chest and let me know that his wife is really wanting it back now. They're going to be surprised.
