Good Morning everyone. I hope you all have been well and had a good week end. My starting the Current Day Thread might feel like a sign of the Apocalypse but this place always feels like Cheers to me. You are all the nicest people I just haven't met....yet. : - )
For those of you lucky enough to have today off because of MLK Day, enjoy it. For those of you that have to work, (like myself) we are all one day closer to the week end.
My 13 time NFL World Champion Green Bay Packers were unceremoniously dumped from the play-offs yesterday. Fuzzy and Mema, I can now say I feel your football pain.
I hope you all have a great day to start a great week and just know we are all one day closer to spring. This almost doesnt feel like winter. More like a combination spring/winter...I am calling it "Sprinter".

The weather is going to be a bit warmer today, which is nice, but rainy. I'll enjoy it while it lasts, because tomorrow will be typical Bloomington winter weather: rain and snow mix.
I stayed up too late watching Sherlock last night, so I didn't get up early enough to work out. Now I regret it.
Howdy D, good to see you in the forum. Hope your coming weekend goes great for you.
We got up to 68° yesterday! It was just crazy to have it that warm this time of year. We're looking at a high of 30° today. Although that is 38° cooler than yesterday, it's still not bad for January.
Nothing special planned for me today. Just gotta see what I can get done today.
Morning all. We've had strange winter weather. It really has been mild to this point. I kind of dread it catching up to us at some point in the next two months.
Nice to see you D. Sorry about the Packers. That was a lousy game and they didn't deserves to win it. You can't win with turnovers and so many dropped balls. A 15-1 regular season means nothing if you don't win the Superbowl. As JR mentioned, spring training is about five weeks away.
Mz - don't feel bad. It was 16* when I left the house this morning. It was an extremely cold and windy weekend here. I think we are supposed to have rain and 50* tomorrow.
Web - try to do something that may be useful today, okay?
I'm going to assemble some more files, prepare use tax returns and check requests for approval. Work on.

Good day, all. Sunny and presently 53* here. I'll take that! Going to have to leave the office in a bit to take my truck to the local Firestone... seems I've lost a balancing weight on one of the tires. Ah well... slow day and its an excuse to be out in the nice weather before it gets all cold again tomorrow.
I did watch the Packers/Giants game yesterday. That was a disappointing loss, but probably not all that surprising given the amount of injuries they were dealing with. It is hard to put together a decent defense when many of your good defenders are sidelined. Maybe next year. At least they had a decent season and made it to the playoffs. Better than most teams can say. Now I guess I'm hoping the Giants go all the way.
Ah well... hope everybody has a great one. Bus is about to leave for the Firestone.

The Giants barely made the playoffs. All they had to do was lose one more game and then the Eagles would have made the playoffs. It was sad that the Eagles were 5-1 in the division and didn't make the playoffs. Stupid Eagles. I suppose the Giants got it together at the right time.
Go 49ers!

Truck is now at the shop. Happily they kind of know me there or at least have notes in their system to not try to up-sell me. It never works out well for them.
