That's right, !

The Mayflower first landed at Cape Cod on November 11, 1620. The ship’s leaders decided not to settle there, and sailed on to Plymouth.

There were about 50 Pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag present at the Thanksgiving feast. The ratio of Pilgrims to Wampanoag was about 5/9.

That's right, !

Though there was probably pumpkin at the first Thanksgiving, it was not served in pie. The celebration DID include: turkey, geese, duck, deer, lobsters, clams, oysters, fish, cucumbers, carrots, cabbages, turnips, radishes, onions, beets, corn, and wild fruits.

Sorry. Here's the answer.

Massasoit was the sachem (leader) of the Wampanoag in 1620. He continued to lead the Wampanoag until his death around 1660.

Pilgrim children and adults only took baths a few times a year. Bathing was considered unhealthy!

Wampanoag lived in wetus, which were made of cedar pole frames covered with straw mats or bark.
