I suppose I better call my tax gals today and make sure there isn't something I should be doing (like filing an extension?), or if they are still going to get to us.
We escaped the storms Saturday. We had tornadoes on both sides of us at different times, but right through here missed most of the nasty stuff.
Car's back in the shop. It's still having trouble starting. I hope they fix it correctly and quickly this time.
Brian's sister's mother in law passed away yesterday. It seems like a distant relation, but she's really a close member of the family. The viewing and funeral are supposed to be on Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, I have a really big presentation on Thursday to a bunch of local businesses, and organized by the marketing director at a company I've been trying really hard to do more stuff for. It's in half hour time slots at the business expo, so I just emailed him explaining the situation and asking for one of the earliest slots. So if all goes well, I'll be giving this presentation and then heading up north right afterward. I also feel bad that I have to juggle both work and family. I don't want to be one of those people.
I also have another personal matter that's stressing me out, but I'd rather not go into it on a public forum. Not even considering everything else, it would have me depressed.
Morning all. Let's start a new week. This should be the last of the crazy weeks for me. I hoping to get everything up to date and finished so that I may take Friday off. We'll see. As long as the boss cooperates, I think I can get it done. I want to be able to enjoy the day and do some things.
Hope no one in the Midwest was blown away.
Sounds like your going to have the long week this week Mz. Hope it all settles down quickly.

It has been years since I've worked 70 hours in a week. I think the last time I did that was right after I graduated college. I know I've hit 60 multiple times around here but wasn't ever close to 70. After this week I just have to readjust. My body is still out of whack.

I called my tax gals. They have the phone going directly to voice mail saying "We are working on returns and the tax deadline is not until Tuesday. We will call you when your return is ready."
I agree. Now, they may have had that message on for a week and just don't want to be bothered by answering the phone. But by now they should have had everything ready to go unless they are buried in paperwork trying to do the copy and assembly thing. After all, they have three extra days during tax season this year. Seems like you've never had to wait this long before Web.
