Gosh would love to go to this. Even though I love Freddie, I love their music equally!
LONDON, England (Hollywood Reporter) -- British Rock band Queen, with Paul Rodgers subbing for late singer Freddie Mercury, said Tuesday it will begin a six-week tour of North America on March 3 in Miami.
Rodgers, former lead singer with Bad Company and Free, joined Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor onstage for the first time in the U.K. last fall and they have toured together in Europe and Japan, billed as Queen + Paul Rodgers.
They played stopover gigs in New Jersey and Los Angeles earlier this year. (Queen bassist John Deacon has retired from touring.)
The tour, which features video footage of Mercury, who died of AIDS in 1991, will include three dates in California: San Diego (April 1), Anaheim (April 3) and San Jose (April 5), and will wrap April 13 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
