I have been on the road an awful lot lately doing business for the man.


got asked today to go to the Mexico plant.  Went, met the boss and got let go.  You will NEVER guess the reason.  The reason is because they can no longer keep up with my sales.  They have reached production capacity and anything I sell will be over and above.


Lamest excuse.  They also then claim I botched an account and are going to sue me personally.  So let me see if I have this straight.  Sue me for lost business, but let me go because I sold too much?

I have no idea.  I am still kind of reeling from everything--they really played me and mislead me.  I am such a fool.  I will go see a lawyer tomorrow.

No it does not make sense.  AND, NO severance package.  I am hoping to get them with the state gov.  They are based in Rhode Island, but I am employed in CA.  Under California law, they must present me with my final check at the time of severance, and they didn't.  Well, ok, technically, they have 24 hours, so I am going to hold my breath and hope they don't come thru so I can sue for that one too.  I am so mad at myself for not slipping and falling on the way out.


I am so ticked right now, and I will be egotistical right now, but I personally sold and brought to the table an increase of 25 million dollars in sales--over and above my last year sales.

Hey you are the victim here or corporate greed and mismanagment! sounds like you have been exploited big time. I know you to be a decent,hard-working person. If this is what it got you, sue so hard you never have to work ever again!!!

Thats such crappy news CP, I can't believe they would do this to you at the this time of year, what a low blow, It really sucks, with all the travel and hours you put in for them, they should be begging you to stay IMHO but what do I know. I hope you get them on the final pay check thing and end up getting a much better job, I wish you all the best of luck.

That is beyond a lame excuse. Isn't the point of business to make a profit? You have obviously worked hard to increase thier revenue. Just make sure you threaten to coutersue them for something - breach of contract or whatever.

Gosh, I agree what a low blow, this time of the year too! I will pray for you and your family during this time. Sometimes, CP, these things turn out for the best. You have been miserable, maybe this will allow you to find a job that will make you happier?! being positive too!

CP with the kind of logic they used I'm sure you'll be better off. Sounds like they are talking out of both sides of their mouth at the same time. I think some one who has 25 million is sales can land a job rather easily. I'm sure that will get attention. Good Luck!
