Ok I need some help

This is lame, but I am being creative- you may choose Zach's fate. He is on the phone right now, but he is grounded. What should I do? Ignore it or bust him? He did finish his board game for Social Studies tonight. The teacher said they could turn it in on Monday, but I made him finish it tonight!

Punish--If you made a threat, you have no choice but to follow thru.  The worst thing you can do is be inconsistent in punishment.

I told him that had he asked I would have given him 30 minutes on the phone. Trust, that is my issue with him. So now he is grounded again. One day he will learn?

thought there was a difference between being grounded and being on the phone, maybe he thinks that to.

He was grounded from the phone! But I would have allowed him phone time based on his performance this evening, but he is sneaky. He claims that he did not think I would have given him time on the phone. But instead of asking, he snuck!

I'm going with punish him.  Don't want to give the idea that he can arbitrarily ignore your rules. Maybe something like doing some unpleasant, but necessary or helpful housework?

Took the phone away again for now. He has science fair research due Monday, so he will be in hell all weekend anyway!
