Good grief our numbers are laughable. We have as few listeners right now as we did about 2 months after we STARTED the station!
I'm not sure what's going on, but eventually we'll have to look into it and work on rebuilding our audience.
I wanted to let you all know where we're at with my Dad before I head back off to the hospital.
Last wednesday they drained four liters of fluid from his stomach (not actually IN the stomach, but in the lining of it). The fluid was a direct result of the tumor that has formed on his liver.
Unfortunately the liquid appears to have completely returned and THEN some, only four days later. The earliest they can do a tap to remove it again is tomorrow morning.
The fluid is putting a lot of extra pressure on my Dad's breathing, along with all his other problems, and the doctors have warned us that because he is working so hard his lungs could give out at any moment without warning.
Originally, my father did not want to be put on any machines, but he had a small change of heart last night and said simply if there is any hope he can be saved he wanted them to do whatever they could, but the situation is such that he would be on a machine for good he didn't want that.
So tonight we'll be discussing it with him and the doctors again and he'll be signing the papers that say what will happen in the event of his heart stopping or his lungs giving out.
Once again, I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers, and I continue to hope for a miracle, even though I realize that it's getting to be late in the game.
Hang in there buddy. I know this is difficult. The new year is almost upon us and we are still here. The numbers will be up up up and it will be all good.
