Just a note to anyone who wasn't around last year.
The year BEFORE the station started I made a decision that on December 25'th it was appropriate to turn off the computers and spend the day thinking about the meaning of Christmas and spending time with my family of course.
So on Christmas Eve for the past three or four years all five computers get shut down and the house takes on an ERIE silence (you get used to the background noise to the point that when it's not there it's actually a bit un-nerving).
Most of you will likely not tune in at all on Christmas day, but be aware that if you do we will not be broadcasting. We will return to normal on the morning of the 26'th.
PS. The Christmas tunes are now up to one every half hour, and will continue that way until New Years Eve.
What ? No Bruce singing " merry christmas baby , you make me feeeeel awlrite " on FFR on Christmas day ? that bites. lol was hoping for a million song requesto - mania or some of JD's shows. hmm... what to do ?
I know ! Get Web to fly up there and build a huge sound proof box for the computer ! That or wait till Christmas day before I open and listen to my new - straight from the Dakotas' - Suspects cd.
That is assumeing of course that the mailman didn't freeze to death at Sparky's house, and that the mail plane didn't slide off the runway into a duckpond in Missouri while stopping to re-fuel ,and that the mail PERSON in my town can actually find my MAILBOX which seems to be a problem as it's only been there FOR 15 YEARS .
