I am glad he is leaving because he is on a station here that places good music in the afternoon and evening. I am hoping they try a local dj thing and play more tunes for when I am in the minivan!


Otherwise, I do not care for him, but I respect his right to do what he wants. I just turn my head.

The first time I heard Howard Stern was several years ago.  He was mildly amusing.  After his book & the movie came out, he turned into SEX, SEX, SEX all the time.  Okay, I'm not a prude.  It just gets boring after awhile.

this guy is a sack of bungholes (lol pambo was that you that used that phrase somewhere?) and he and his army of freaks deserve themselves.

I agree. I find this guy to be disgusting.

I'm ok with pushing the envelope once in awhile, but this guy is all-shock, all the time, and as a result it's no longer shocking.

I'm more shocked when I see him act like a decent human being (I did see him that way once in an interview, I SWEAR!)

WOOO HOOO!  Thank you!  Thank you very much!  Yep, Sack of bungholes is mine.  And I totally agree with you, JD... Howard Stern is a sack of bungholes. I don't care for his "humor" or his style.  I think there is a place for the people like him, but it is not regular radio.  There are actually two places I see for him... satellite radio where he is going and/or sliding under a gas truck.

Howard is not on any stations that I can pick up from around here. I've watched him on "E" a few times . . . enough to agree with the 'sack of bungholes" assessment.

I heard that he will be blocked from the Sirius satellite that serves Canada because they have content laws that will block him.

I bet it makes him happy to know that his show has been banned by at least one country.  I think that is taking it a bit far now that he is on satellite (pay for it) radio, but I guess they have their standards and this sack of bunholes just doesn't meet up.


I did see the coverage of his parade in NY.  How funny that you could hardly hear what he had to say because of the 5 second delay being used to squelch the crowd.  I wonder how well he will do now that he won't (at least for a while) have the FCC on his case.  Will anyone still care?  Does he really think the FCC will stay completely out of that venue forever?

   I think the only regular viewers are 13 year old boys and guys who are mad at their wives.


   I've never listened to his radio show , I figured it's probly like the tv with out pictures.


   His and his guests mental capacity are so far beyond mine that I would be left on the curb ,


    figure I'm safer with the likes of Westwood 1, NPR , FFR  etc.


   And an O-YA , BTW ,   I believe someone said you will now have to pay to listen to these


  great intelectual discussions , how will his loyal listeners afford Howard and there girlie


  magazines ? hmm.. maybe they can use some of Nobel Prize money they have  been saving


  for just an emergency !

With all the things there are in the world to have to pay for, I can't imagine anyone in their right mind paying to hear him.  Maybe his die-hard followers, but I think he probably just lost the ocassional observer who just wants to see what the fuss is all about.  The funny thing with the news coverage was that he was getting bleeped by proxy.  The crowd was yelling out the vulgarities over his speech, so they had to bleep everything. For once, he actually wasn't saying anything obscene.

I'm glad to see other people see him as a "sack of bungholes."  That term kills me!


Anyway, I thought I must be the only person who thought he was a major dirtbag.  I can't believe they're paying this creep 1/2 billion dollars.  This is the crap most Americans are supporting?


I can't stand him.  I remember hearing his tasteless stuff back in the '80s when he was on AM radio out here in NY and thinking "this guy's never going to last."  I wish I had been right...and the same about rap!


I guess I need a new crystal ball.
