On Saturday my dad would normally cook my family a lobster dinner, but he is still a little under the weather from his transplant. So my hubby bought us all 1 lb lobster tails and alaskan king crab legs! I am too excited to eat that! What a great birthday tradition!
My dad and his wife will come over Sunday morning. I always cook a couple of breakfast casseroles the night before and they come over first thing Xmas morning. We do not wait on them though to open gifts- they live about 45 minutes away. If they show up by 6, they might make it to see the opening, but that never happens!
Saturday I will finish wrapping presents, going to my wife's Grandma's house Christmas Eve, then Christmas Day with my folks. Christmas Day night we are going to Story Book Island for all the lit up character displays.
My family goes to my parent's house on Christmas Eve. We usually have snack foods & open gifts with them. Christmas morning is for us. Christmas afternoon we go to my husband's mom's & have a big dinner & open gifts.
The inlaws have their Christmas on Christmas Eve. We will go there for dinner and gift exchange. My oldest boy (Jermey), his wife, and son are going to stay the night at our house on Christmas Eve, so we will actually get to have Christmas morning with them too. I'm planning on making a nice breakfast. Jeremy is going to dress up like Santa. That should be awesome. He has the physique for it!
Christmas day Kev and I will go visit his mother and my mother. Then Christmas evening we are having a small dinner at home. Our neighbor, Guz, is going to come over for dinner. He's from Kuwait, so he doesn't have much family here except for his brother who already had plans, and since he's not a Christian, he really was at a loss as to how to spend his day. I figure no one should be alone, we invited him over. It should be fun.

Good for you Mema, Christmas isn't just for Christians Good Will to All!
My wife and I will be traveling to her folks house in Maine, hopefully her brother and his wife will be able to make it from MA. Good time with the family
I am staying home. Found a fantatastic deal and am flying my mother in from oshkosh, and my sisters family from appleton. Christmas day will be spent opening presents, then I am sneaking off in the 80 degree weather to play golf.
Good for you Mema, Christmas isn't just for Christians Good Will to All!
Thanks! I try to be that way. Guz is a nice guy. It took a lot of guts for him to leave his home country and come here by himself. I respect that. I figure that even if you aren't necessarily a Christian, the spirit of the season should still apply to you. It's really all about being good to others, and treating people with kindness and love.

Actually I am getting back into the spirit and my other half is not feeling well but I am going to the Salvation Army to help serve Christmas Dinner. My mother and I were on that many many years ago when it was just her and I and I was not even 10. It was pretty hard but you learn to appreciate what you have and what god has given you. The blessings you receive are a wonderful thing. Besides its always nice to see the smiling faces. They have a Santa who is coming thier to and he will pass out presents. Nothing greater than seeing a smile on a childs face.
