I am on an un-mapped island in the South Pacific !  Surrounded by scantily clad deep tanned island type girls ,who in the spirit of the season are wearing red and white sarongs. We have decorated a palm tree complete with a starfish on top ! One of the girls says she has a" special present" for me , she gets this twinkle in her eye when she talks about it , I've been looking for the 'package ' but she has hidden it somewhere good. She might let me 'open' it a day early as I have been a ' good little boy '.   

Geez Dave! Wish I was there too!

I'm at work as usual, but I get off a whole half hour early today! Woo Hoo!

  Dmn it , tidal wave just took out the island , now I'm on a raft floating around the middle of no-where .  We ( 2 person raft ) did manage to save the starfish thou , she says she also 'saved ' my present too but I don't see it here anywhere.  As it is night here navigation could be a problem , guess I could do that ' use a star ' thing , but which 1 ? there are so many to chose from . Hmm... theres a kinda bright one to my left , I mean port side.  Guess will aim for it and trust in providence to lead the way. We need a sail , man she is smart ! Who woulda thought about useing a sarong !

     We have landed !  I'm just not sure where. Sand sand everywhere sand . As far as the eye can see sand. Just afew people around here , 1 of em is an outta work drummer who had to pawn most of his set to buy food for his donkey. He was kinda bummed out till I told him about the Stray Cats drummer only having a snare and that made him feel better .

 My girl wants to give me my "present " but we've crossed so many date lines we are not sure what day it is so that'll have to wait for now.

  Some guys in a Dodge Caravan have offered to give us a ride , they are loaded down with some neat stuff but will let us ride on top !

  We just got to a town and what a town it is ! they have a bizarre thet is .. well .. bizare! 1st there was 4 guys playing a song that went; Bethleham I hear you calling .. , They asked how I thought it would do in the western world , I said if they could shorten the lead line I thought it might sell . Then we went to find a room , guess who was in the hotel lobby ? Christopher Cross !!  It must Mardi Gras here or something as you can't find a room anywhere ! the Inn keeper did  set us up with his brother , his bro has a small room above his incense shop we can crash at . We still don't know what day it is as their calenders are wierd , they use symbols instead of numbers , looks like today is Taco day ! Can't be to sure thou ,it might be camel hoof day , my vision is a little blurred from all the smoke .  We are off to explore the town !

  After waking from our nap we went to an internet cafe for some go juice . They sure use small cups . I was like - hey leave the pot . I got an E- type mail from a great -great- not related at all Aunt from Buffalo , there is a stray polar bear in her yard and she wants me to take it back to Canada . After talking  it over with my girl we decided she would stay behind for a day or 2 as she is a part time mid wife ( licensed and insured )and might be usefull and I would take the 1st camel out of town.  So it's off to the states with me . My girl promised to give me my present when we see each other again . 

 Oh - BTW , forgot to mention her name , it's Kaja ....
