      Merry Christmas All !

A very sunny 54 out there right now , had some ruff weather blow thru last nite , house was a rockin even after the Grinch decided to save a buck on his light bill. lol.

I'm enjoying my new -straight from the Dakota's -Suspects cd right now , sounds good !  Some friends , food n football on the agenda today . Everyone have / continue to have a good one !

Ps- good game last nite from Hawaii ,  U Central Florida vs. Nevada , UCF scored 10 pts very late ( fg / on side kick ) to tie it , then in OT they missed extra pt. and lost by 1.

side note- football / bowl game.  Go 11-0 and win a trip to Pasedena , lose a couple and go to Hawaii ? hmm.. note to self, ask athletic director to get Mich. USC and Notre Dame on next years schedule.

Merry Christmas everyone!  I think everyone liked their gifts.  I'm so glad!!!  Later, I'll have to have my sister read me my fortune from her new tarot cards...

We made out pretty good this year.  My dad got me a tool kit for my car (now I can come to everyone's rescue!), and we got some good games.  I also got some leather gloves, a yoga ball, and a bath caddy (where I can take a bath with a candle, a glass of wine, and a good book, I can't wait to try it out!) from my Mom.  But, now I'm ready to go home.  We'll be heading back in the morning.

I hope everyone else had a good Christmas!

Hope everyone is having a great day! I spent all day being the neighborhod mom. Little E had some girls over for four hours! They had a tea party, played with the Barbie Dream House, ate lunch, watched three movies, ate popcorn, played dress up, rode scooters, rode bikes, rode in her go cart and played mommy with all her dolls. They begged for the play dough, but I declined. Finally Little E just went in her room, climbed in her bed and zonked out!

What a great day she had! Zach too- been outside most of the day, but now he is upstairs playing his new NCAA football 2006 trying to recruit himself to be an Eagle on Madden 2006!

All be safe!

Ruby, we men are never safe in gifts for the wife.  There is no way we can ever win. You never tell us what you really want, clothes don't work becasue it becomes a weight issue, gift cards don't work because it is too impersonal, kitchen equipment doesn't work because it just sugges we want them in the kitchen, Flowers, too generic, face it, there is nothing we can do to ever get it right.  even you complained about the computer for a drier, but if you would have gotten the drier, then it would have been a domestic insult. My new slogan.  "Diamond's---that'll shut er up."

CP, let me clarify, since you make me sound so unappreciative:

The dryer vs. computer. We have needed a new dryer for a few months and I thought well my dad will ask what I want and I should say dryer, but I choose to ask for a new slim monitor. So he asks and I tell him. Well instead of getting me a monitor, he buys a whole new computer and says we will split the cost. So now I am out 250, plus another 100 til the rebate comes in. PS the dryer died Xmas eve! Now another 500 for the dryer too!

PS Dad has house up for sale for 1.5 million.

Hubby bought me an $80 robe, guess he forgot that he bought me one 2 years ago and I rarely wear it. Also spent another 80 on candles- that have no odor and are huge xmas trees and these brown veneer holders. THE UGLIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. Also he spent 300 on kitchen crap! So now I have to go return everything and put it toward the dryer, the computer or the broken camera!!

Christmas was good for me and my fam.

Headed out to my folks house christmas eve. My bro, sis-n-law and nephew came out as well. Had a good feast of spaghetti and ribs, salad, garlic bread and a ton of cookies. We exchanged gifts, but the most fun was watching the little one play with his toys. One of his gifts was a modern-day version of the big-wheel, but he's too small to reach the pedals yet, so I just pushed him up and down the hall on the thing.

I spent the evening, and when the folks got back from church ma made french toast and sausages. good coffee. its nice to visit home.

Later on we all met up at my grandma's house, as we always do, with aunt, uncle, cousins and their kids. Exchanged more gifts, drank a lot of wine, had a good ham dinner. A very nice christmas.

I decided I better eat a healthy breakfast this morning . . . so I had fruit and dairy.

It was convenient because I found some cherries ready to eat. They were sandwiched between two layers of crust which made them very easy to scoop off the plate. To save time, I put the dairy on top of it all. It was very good!

Ruby:  It was nothing to do with you and was not a comment to make you sound unappreciative.  Perhaps what I should have said, is I CAN NEVER win with my wife for the reasons mentioned.  I  am just licking my wounds.  I bought her a tri-stoned diamond necklace, you know the one that represents, yesterday, today and forever.  It was three carats.  But I learned later that she was disappoined that I didn't get something else she wanted.

I am just trying not to be hurt.  I was so excited to give the necklace to her,--but I just felt inadequate.

FYI to all.  YOU can never win.  Male, female...doesn't matter.   You CAN'T win...life would be too easy if you had it right all the time.

I had a interesting Christmas - more running around to houses than I like... I haven't had to do that in a while, but it couldn't be helped this Christmas.

My daughter got what she wanted most, the Roboraptor, which really was fun to play with - I thought the cats would be more interested, but they were just happy to get the tin of catnip and a new window perch. Who else wraps gifts for their pets? That's a relatively new thing I'm into since I never get anything but food for them...

I got some really cool gifts - the best was really unexpexted - my ex got me a Philips DVD system with surround sound. He said he just couldn't bear to see the sad video experience I have... He's got a big screen projector theater plus surround sound... even his Xbox works on it. I can see where my TV paled in comparison. It was certainly a Xmas morning shocker! Poor guy - considering this is the topic at hand, he really does take time, thought, and often way too much money, in purchasing gifts for friends and family... in return he usually ends up with picture frames and summer sausage.

I also got the first season of the Muppets and the latest DDR dance mat videogame. I'm set until next year!

Zim, Mz wraps presents for her cats too. This year they got a few mice (which they always get), and a laser pointer. They absolutely love it! Any time anyone touches it, her boy is right there looking around for the dot, it's hilarious!

I don't know about the "you can't win" thing... I make a big deal out of any present my husband gives me.  Really... even if it's just a candy bar because he went to a convenience store. I tried to get him to not make a big deal out of Christmas for me this year because he isn't working right now, but he did anyway.  I was all smiles and good cheer.

I don't typically wrap the presents for the pets... I just put them in their stockings.  Yep... each of the 5 cats and the bird have their own stocking.
