I went and picked up a package this morning from the post office and it was an ebay box. The problem is it came from Newport NC. Inside was a beautiful shot Glass from Wyoming. I thought the ohter half ordered it but he said it is not his and I did not order any shot glasses.
So I am sending this out to the forum to see if anyone knows or is Cynthia Meadows from Newport. There is a tracking number on the box as it was insured. Usually if it is from Ebay they enclose a invoice and there was none there.
If this is one of you guys let me know. I think the glass is beautiful and I just want to make sure that the proper person is thanked.
Woo HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Let me know how much the shipping would be and I can send you the money Ruby! Do you know what they are from? and moreover, do you have one of Beautiful Soth Carolina in there?
Like I said in your PM, we used to collect and when we moved here a year ago, we never displayed them. I will find the box and go through them. They are in the attic! Hopefully the hubby will not care- he should not, they have been in the attic for a year this week!
Star had found the shot glass from the woman in North Carolina and had them send it to me. I will post a pic when I go on brake so i can show it to you.
I do not keep those Jacksons around JR, but I do have some Michael Jackson stuff you might want.
Actually when I worked at a record store, one Xmas I won a 45 collection of MJ's singles. They are all different colors and have never been played. If he was not such a freak, they might have been worth something. I am holding on to them hoping I will wake up and all his troubles were just a dream!
Hey Ruby, I mentioned this once before, but it fits this thread so I'm mentioning it again.
When I was a young man, maybe 15, I used to be a dumpster diver. I'd bike out to the record stores at 3 AM and dive in the trash bins collectiong posters, album flats, etc.
One morning I found a sealed box that weighed a ton, I just took it home unopened, figuring whatever it was would be cool, but expecting it to be advertising material.
It turned out to be a full case of Michael Jackson 45's all on red vinyl and with special picture sleeves. There were 12 or 16 of these multi-packs that each had about 8 45's in them, featuring 16 of his hits off THRILLER and earlier. It was marked "collectors set". This was right when he was at the height of his fame, and while I didn't think of it then, I'll bet someone from the store was gonna steal them, and put them out with the trash to get them later. I can just imagine their surprise when they showed up later and couldn't find the box
