WHAT, Exactly are the Chicago Bears fans smoking?!??!?!

All I keep reading is how now that Rex Grossman is back at QB for the Bears they are going to the Super Bowl.

Am I missing something?  This kid has played a total of 8 games of NFL football.  He's missed something like 35 games with three different injuries.

I've seen five year veterans making their first trip to the playoffs and the buzz is "he'll never handle the high pressure of the playoffs on his first trip through them", but for some reason everyone thinks Rex is the second coming of Jim McMahon down in the nations drainhole (aka Chicago).

Read my keystrokes, the Bears will be not make it past their first game in the playoffs.  And then those flatlanders will immediately turn to saying "Grossman doesn't have what it takes, we gotta trade or cut him".

Dang flatlanders

The Bears fans are a breed apart.  At least they keep the faith though... of course they won't make the Superbowl, but at least they are giving it a better run than my Chiefs are.

ANYTHING, ANYTHING TO AVOID ANOTHER SUPERBOWL SHUFFLE SONG!

I admit that Walter Payton was probably the most awesome player to ever run the ball. But he fell ENORMOUSLY on my Respect-O-Meter with the Superbowl Shuffle. That was just terrible!

Alright JR must be feeling better and trying to pick a fight! The only crack I get to enjoy if FFR crack!

I agree though about them probably not making far in the playoffs. Maybe the first game though, but I am not holding my breath for the Superbowl.

I think I will have to request Super Bowl Shuffle to remind you how good the song really is!! And the video- I still have it in my collection!

Speaking of Steve Spurrier- I just found out that his son played his freshman year playing at our school- CSU - he transferred to USC for the Spring though! Either a prove yourself thing or maybe a NCAA thing???

Yes Ruby, I was specifically aiming for you with this thread

Ugh, that Superbowl Shuffle REALLY was obnoxious though!  And as if the fact the song sucked wasn't bad enough, it goes nearly six minutes!  By the third minute my ears are bleeding and I'm asking people passing by to perform a mercy killing on me.

I loved the Superbowl Shuffle!  My all time favorite though is not a song... I LOVE the Terry Tate "Office Linebacker" commercials. I volunteered to be the "office linebacker" around here.

My favorite part was "That's a long distance call, DOUG!"... my other best bud's name is Doug.  I razz him about that every now and again... he just laughs at me and reminds me we work for the phone company so it's okay.
