New Years plans

The little girl across the street is turning 6. Her parents are throwing a block/birthday party. My hubby and hers will have a firework battle before the evening is over and there is another neighbor who asked to be part of the show!

The party will last all night. My hubby asks who holds a 6 year olds party on New Years Eve, I said people like us! We would not go anywhere anyway!

Alcohol will be served!

That sounds like fun!!

Mz and I are going to see The Wina-Freds play, then we'll probably go to a nice restuarant or the wine bar for midnight, and we may stop by a dance club somewhere during the night. I'm happy as long as I get to see the ball drop and get some champagne.

I'm really debating what to wear, because I figure we'll be walking home. So I want to be warm and wear comfortable shoes, but I want to dress up a bit since it's New Years. I think I need to go shopping...

We'll probably stay home, watch Regis in New York, almost make it to 11:47 (like last year) wake back up at 12:15 and say huh, what, is it New Years yet?

It'll be farther than I normally walk, but it won't be that bad. I just want to be able to have a few drinks, and I'm ALWAYS the designated driver, so this time, I'm just not driving. There will be free taxis that night, but you have to wait about 2 hours for one, so it would be easier to just walk.

We always stay home on New Year's Eve.  My hubby likes to call that "amature night" since all the 'non-professional drunken drivers' are on the road.  I have a bottle of champagne, but it probably won't get cracked open since I have on-call duty for work.

a nice dinner at Harry's Bar and Grille, some gifts to exchange, some dessert, then probably a rented movie.....not big on going out to the bars anymore, especially on new years. This will be nice.

The partner and I will stay home like we did last year.  We always fix, sandwhiches, Rotel, Chips, Sausage balls, smokies, yummy egg nog bread. Have tons of movies to watch ( we all got DVDs for christmas) just enjoy the time at home.

We had planned to go to OKC to party but driving back at 2 am with drunks on the road was not an appealing idea.

I hear that. Alot of the people I know prefer to celebrate at home for that reason alone. well that and the drunken masses of idiots, the second hand smoke, the $89 per person charge for "all the FREE BEER and CHAMPAGNE you can drink"...
