Any thoughts on what you'd like to see on the home page?

ANything on there now that you NEVER use?

How about the radar and temp stuff, do you ever use that?

I'm planning on doing a complete make over of the home page. Not the banner or the navigation bar, those are fairly new and I still like the gold and black combo. But the info part of the page.

It's been the same forever, and really there's not much changing info on it. I want to start putting some photo's and info and stuff up there, but does anyone have any suggestions we could consider?

Also, BIG question, how important do YOU think that little box that shows what currently playing is?

Try to think back to when you were new to the station, did it matter to you then? As a first time visitor to the site does it make you want to tune in?

If you're a regular, have there been times you came to the site just to go to the forum, but saw what was playing and decided to tune in? Or maybe vice-versa, were considering tuning in, but saw the songs listed and decided not to?

I am up for changes to keep it fresh. I did look at the weather maps from time to time to get an idea of temps across the nation, but this wasn't the first place I thought of checking for that.


I do like the idea of the now playing box tho. In a way the Freeze Frame Radio banner is the marquee and the now playing are the features.

The only time I ever scroll down on the home page is usually to get your address. Since I'm usually tuned in before I get here, I never look at the now playing box, but I think it's important to keep up for the first time visitors. The point of your website is to drive more traffic to the station, right?

I go to the homepage first to click on the listen link.


But I do not look at anything there. My :


 


No to the maps, yes to the what is playing box, yes to the forum discussions, oh yeah and keep the only pix of you we have!!!

I might suggest putting the now playing box and the Listen Now on the same line. The now playing box is a bit big by itself.

Actrually JD, this will make you happy.

I'm working on making two of the LISTEN LIVE links, but slightly smaller, and one will say in big font 64k and the other will say 32k.

I wanted to make sure I do this since we may start doing more of that seperate stream stuff like we talked about.
