That sound bite just reminded me. Anybody here watch 24? It is on Fox. The new season starts Sunday night and I can't wait. Jack is back. They are starting the season with two hours on Sunday and Monday.

I can't stand 24. I watched the first season all the way through, and by the end I felt like it was so suspenseful it was boring. I just wanted to yell at the screen for them to get some common sense, especially that darn daughter of his!
All I know is that for me the measure of a good show is if it feels like it can't possibly be over when it's over.
And I have to say with 24 I'm usually looking at the clock when it's over thinking COME ON! THAT WAS ONLY LIKE FIFTEEN MINUTES!!!!
The only problem with a show like that is that if it's a bad story line to start it's gonna be a bad season.
I still haven't seen 2 of the 4 seasons, I want to eventually buy the DVD's and watch them straight through. That's how I watched the first season, it was like watching an 18 hour movie, but I plowed through it over a weekend.
As I recall I was really sick that weekend, so it was nice to have while I was laying in bed miserable.
JR - that is a good way to watch it. It moves so much faster. I usually tape 24 and watch other programs. Then over the weekend I just buzz right through it.

I tried to do that last season, but I was on the edge of my seat at the end of every episode and when Monday was rolling around I was dying to get another fix.
You can get into a weekly habit. Watching it Saturday afternoon, gives you a fix until the following week. It will throw me off if I actually watch it over the weekend and then on its regular night. That is a tough spot.
If you have never watched it, it may be hard to follow. The first two seasons didn't really piggyback on one another. After that they seem to roll a little more into one another.

We watch it too, but it is very very intense. They have really done some stuff that shocked me- cutting off the arm and killing that boy's girlfriend!!
