If ya can't do this it's fine, this is just an idea I wanna run past you. You know on the now playing page where it tells you which groups are gonna be played next? Is there any way that the specific song by said group could also be listed? just wondering.
I COULD do that, but it would break RIAA rules. Not that we don't do that once in awhile, but something that permanent would be risky because they do watch the Live365 stations (and sometimes listen to them).
The rule is that you can say what artist is coming up, but you're not allowed to be specific about what song, or when it will be played.
They're worried about people sitting there with a recording program copying the songs they want off the stream.
It's really kind of silly, because you could just run the recorder constantly and "fish" for what you want, but I guess they want to deter it as much as possible.
I tell Dylan all the time when we talk that the RIAA and the record companys are like a drowning person, just splashing around, making their situation worse.
They haven't adapted to the reality that the entire distribution system for music and it's promotion has changed and isn't going back.
Their rules mostly only hinder their ability to move forward.
But, they're a big organization and they could shut us down with one letter
