The film or the book?

I used to love to read, but do not get enough time to read anymore, so it is movies for me. I know for the most part though, books are always better and sometimes, seeing a movie can ruin a book. You think of something one way and the movie portrays it differently!

I've always been big into reading. Now that I'm exercising, I can prop the book up on the treadmill and kill two birds. I prefer to watch the movie before I read the book so the movie isn't ruined, but it doesn't always happen that way.

My head is so full of reading and numbers by the end of the day, I have no desire to read anything else. I love movies!

I've got so much non-fiction stuff to read, I rarely have time for fiction. Although I did read Gangs of New York after seeing the movie- both were excellent.

I never read for pleasure. I only read for information. I've always been this way.

If it's not something I am really interested in, I'll be reading away and realize that I just read three pages but was thinking about something else the whole time. I can force myself to concentrate on what I'm reading, but it wears me out pretty quick and I'm done with it after just a few pages.

Something else I've thought of doing is loading an audio book on my MP3 player and listening to that while I'm exercising.

The book.  I read whenever I get the time, which admittedly is rarely.  Right now I'm working on "Mostly Harmless"... the last in the "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" series.

I am the same way Web, I can read a few pages and then realize I was thinking about chicken and rocks or something. I am more of a hands on learner too.

My problem is that I have a hard time reading new books. For example, Mema just mentioned Hitchhiker's Guide, and I've got the whole set, and now I'm tempted to read the whole thing again for the umpteenth time!

I love to read but it hasn't been possible for the past couple of years.  I'm a big believer that the book is better than the movie.  I've only been proven wrong once.  I liked the movie "Forrest Gump" better than the book.

That is the first "for fun" thing I've read in a long time.  Before that I read a biography on Donald Rumsfeld, and before that it was the 9/11 Commission Report.

I can only get into reading two things. Books about paranormal happenings or a biography/autobiography.

I really don't like to read fiction at all. I prefer my fiction in the form of a movie.

When it comes to books, I prefer fiction. I use books as an escape from reality.

I am ashamed to admit that I love true crime books.

Oh, that's a good one too Pambo. True Crime Books.

I like any non-fiction really. I love reading the true crime stuff just to try and understand the way these people think.

If I had it to do over again I would like to have done the things you need to do to become a part of the FBI's Behavioral Sciences division. I've always felt I think like a criminal and could be good at that.

I read Helter Skelter as a kid in one day! ONE VERY LONG DAY! I, too, am warped. That book opened my eyes like no other!
