Playoff predictions?

Anyone have any predictions about this weekend's games?

I am going with the Panthers and the Steelers!

Why I thought you'd never ask.

I'll take the Seahawks over the Panthers (but I'm not completely confident on this one, Hasselbeck is prone to the occassional meltdown and makes me nervous).

The I select the Bronco's over the Steelers. I think the Steelers last week was their super bowl.

Looks like you and I are on opposite ends again Ruby

Okay. This is roughly how I see it.

Even though I am from PA and would like to see the Steelers win, I am not expecting it to happen. First, the Steelers have been on the road for three straight weeks. Second, they have played hard, but been lucky the last two weeks. Third, Denver is an extremely tough place to play. Denver all the way.

The Seattle/Carolina game is a tough call. Carolina has a good team. They faltered some in the middle of the season but they recovered nicely. Seattle has a strong team but I would have to wonder about some of the teams they played in route to their 14-2 season. I was going with Seattle in this game, but if they allow Carolina to throw and complete passes to Smith, they could be in trouble. Although Carolina lost their top running back, they have a good second guy. That being said, Seattle lost their top running back to a concussion early in last week's game. He is due to return, but I honestly wonder how much pounding he can take.

But that is just a short version of my thoughts. I know you are thinking, short!? Are you kidding me?

Is that a bad thing? I am not sure. I think Carolina has a good chance to win the game. But, I like Seattle better.

I am  going with Panthers and Steelers too- although I am rooting for the Seahawks. I'd like Holmgren to get one more ring.

Nobody else has a playoff prediction?

I'll move this to the top. Dylan will need to see it. I KNOW he'll have some thoughts on it!

Seahawks v Denver....

Mike Holmgren lost Superbowl 32 to Denver...

This will be his one chance to redeem himself

I havent seen the point spreads for these games....a case could be made for each club....

The one team that scares me is Pittsburgh....on paper they are not overpowering, but this is the same club that went 15-1 2 years ago.

But Seattle and Denver have the most balanced clubs of the 4 teams left and home field advantage.

FOOTBALL ENDED LAST WEEKEND.......WIDE RIGHT.

However, if I cared I'd pick Pittsburgh and Carolina.

I think the most exciting scenario would be Seatle against Denver.....see how that plays out- can holgren beat them now, almost a decade later, in a superbowl....

I am going to run with Carolina and Denver. all 4 great teams this year but I think Carolina will actually win by a small margin ( less than 3 points.)
