The Passion of Kanye

I dont know if anyone has seen the new cover of Rolling Stone...

But they Show Kanye West on the cover in a crown of thorns in a similar pose to the Passion of the Christ.

I am not a big fan of rap....but if ever there was a genre of music that just seems to be begging for the Sodom and Gomorrah treatment....

This idiot says"You want me to be great, but you dont ever want me to say I am great."

I dont care how great he thinks he is...he isnt going to garner comparisons to Jesus. I thought the cover was in poor taste.

There are a lot of things he does that I don't like. I hate artists with big heads. It's fine to toot your own horn once in awhile-but that's it. I like the song "Golddigger" but that's it so far.

Oh & I haven't seen the cover yet. But

the only thing I like about kanye, is he speaks his mind.hes not worried about being politically correct, he says what needs to be said, when it needs to be said. sometimes, its the wrong place, at the wrong time- but he says it none the less. Just like during the Katrina telethon. What he said about Bush(Sorry bush fans) I dont think it needed to be a comment about Bush not caring about black people, he could have just said that bush doesnt care about people in general- but he said something that needed to be said.

Myndi...I wont get into politics. Because there can be a case made for or against any individual.

I have no problem with someone speaking their minds either ...if they know what they are talking about and backing their opinions up with fact.

The Katrina hurricane was a disaster of monumental proportions....there was no quick way to respond to those poor people because there were no roads or infrastructure. President Bush or any other man couldnt have responded...and the blame lies just as much with the New orleans politicians and the State of Louisiana. So that was a cheap shot at Bush...

But to compare yourself to a sacred figure to so many people...that isnt something that needs to be said...

Liking his music is one thing...but his personal stands are a little too egocentric

The picture is a joke. I saw it yesterday- he compares himself to Jesus! PLEASE!!! Jesus was a peaceful man, Mr West does not appear to be trying to promote peace, just himself!
