We will be discussing your place in life- in your family, among your friends, etc.. and how to balance each and succeed! Oh yeah and we will talk about getting ready to build a resume!
No ma'am. Not really- the kids need to come ready to tell their first memory of anything, mine was moving when I was 4 and trying to make new friends when we got to Chicago. Then we will take that memory and see if it actually had anything to do with shaping the current you! For me it really has- I made friends by going out and trying to find them- door to door actually! I make friends easily now too! Helps in the job world huh! Then we will talk more about getting ready to do a resume. Oh yeah they also have to take a PLSI test- one of those psychology tests to see what you are and would be good at!

I think I need that. I wish someone would have given me one when I was in my junior or senior year of high school and then maybe again after two years in college.

I've taken one of those. It told me I should be a teacher. In fact, I've thought about it, and the biggest thing stopping me is the politics in the school system.
I have always had this piece of me that wanted to teach. But not the little kids. Highschool age and above. I don't have the built in patience system to deal with little children all day long.

The hard part about college kids though is that so many are here for the party and not to learn. That would drive me nuts. I had one last semester that did nothing and got an "F"! He seems to be going down the same path this time. I just get mad cause the $$$ they waste, but I remember those days too! I did not go to college right way so that I could party!
I at one time believed I would have liked to have teached college level literature or philosophy. But there are always those annoying folks in class who are more mouth than they are mind...which comes with the territory, but I question my ability to deal with them effectively and patiently...
