I am surprised no one said anything about them. I did not watch but a minute, but I was happy to see Green Day and U2 win! I know I do not watch these shows cause I do not care for newer music, usually, but they had some good winners. And Madonna looks fabulous!
I was happy to hear Mariah was shut out during the telecast. Apparantly she did win three in the pre-telecast portion, but I'm sure those were pretty meaningless ones.
I think that's because it's overdone. There's so many awards now. It seems like there's a show a week until April.
For me, I just stopped caring when I hit my 30's. I think the only one that should even be shown on TV is the people's choice awards. Otherwise it's just a bunch of rich & famous people patting themselves on the back and telling each other how great they are.
Im a fan of awards shows, but lately.. not so much. i hate the FCC..... people should be able to say what they want... I also dislike the legnth of the shows now a days... youd think with everything that surely gets censored, the shows would get shorter and shorter.....
Mrs Web kept flipping over to catch Keith Urban. Once he was done, we didn't watch much more of it.
I'm glad the FCC enforces some rules. If these poor celebrities can't say what they want to say without swearing, then they need to spend some of their money to go back to private school and take English 101 again.
I have pretty much lost all interest for these shows. I have become completely bored with celebrities. Look at me I'm talking and I'm important. If you don't believe me I'll tell you. Now tell me how fabulous I am.
It must come with age, because I used to be so into that stuff.
But after 20 years of working for an average wage and at the same time listening to the celebrities squabble because they're not getting paid $15 million for a movie instead of $12.5, you just get to a point where you don't care.
It's like La La land is a fantasy world and I just don't care about the dancing monkeys personal lives anymore. Just let me watch their show or listen to their record and move on.
