Maybe I missed it. I miss a lot.

But have we had a Gamby update in the last 24 - 48 hours?

Last I hear our lil' buddy was out of surgery, but had lost a lot of blood.

I know I am worried. Dave always checks in by now I have a phone number and will call tomorrow if he continues to be MIA

  Hi all , sorry for checking in so late but I just got home a few minutes ago ,


 As of 11:00 this morning Gamby was doing better , He is eating his Ferretvite but doesn't want the food their giving him so the Dr. is going to get his favorite kitty chow and see if he will eat that. ( spoily pants ) .  As the office closes at noon on Thursday I wasn't able to see him but will go visit tomorrow afternoon.


  I could sense a bit more optimism in the Dr.'s voice and that was a good thing.


  Ferretvite- this stuff is so slamed full of vitamins and stuff that a fert doesn't even need food . It is great for a " convelesing ferret' and it will help stimulate their appetite.

Dave,
I am glad Gamby is doing better. It probably isnt uncommon after surgery not to have an appetite. Good news.

I was kinda waiting around to see if you would pass an update along.

  another update- just came from the Dr.'s office , Gamby is doing REAL well !


  the doctor would have let me bring him home tonight but I wont be around tomorrow as I have / need to work ( bummer ) so he is going to stay there till Sunday morning .( the office closes at noon tomorrow) .


 he is starting to eat real food and has been nailing the ferretvite. The doc is kinda surprised with his progress for a little guy with such a big problem .


 He also said from the way it looked in there it would have been just a few days and the tumor would have ruptured . Incredible how he was playing with me last Saturday and then Sunday woke up not feeling well.  Thats a big problem with ferrets, they " mask their syptoms "for so long that by the time you see something isn't right it has turned into a major problem.


 We all here thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Our next post on this should be about 10:00 AM Sunday , I can't wait!

         Gamby is home !


  Big kisses from Buttercup and Snowball , he has eaten some and is now checking the house out to make sure no one has moved his toys .


 His Dr. is just amazed with how fast Gamby has rebounded from this ,and the fact that he was able to rebound at all is something in itself.  and I'll tell ya something else , if the size of his tummy is any indication that musta been 1 heck of a tumor. I can realy see the difference.


 Whew , it's been a hectic week . I think we'll spend the rest of the day relaxing , watch some Nascar this afternoon and kick back with JD tonite .

LOL I love how Gamby probably viewed this whole adventure as an inconvenience tht kept him away from his stash of stuff! Right there is probably where the quick recovery came from! "Do what you gotta do doc, but I got toys that need me!" LOL!!!
