Ah yes!

No matter how much snow is on the ground. No matter how cold it is. Your heart is warm because you know 1200 miles away our boys are getting ready to usher spring into the state in only a few weeks!

I used to celebrate this day like a national holiday in the early 90's.

I think I'll be celebrating by grilling a brat on the George Foreman and then stand outside while eating it.  Given how cold it normally is on opening day, it'd fit quite well today.

So long as the Phillies take all nine games (okay, at least 7 of 9) from the Brew Crew, I will spend my off time rooting for the Brewers.

You guys got a little weaker this off-season didn't you?

I call it 5-4 in favor of the crew.

WAIT, aren't 6 of them at Miller Park? last year you got more home games. If 6 are at MP then I say we go 6-3 (not that we'll win every home game, just that we'll win 6 total)

In case you haven't noticed, we are weak every year. Duh. We are no worse than last year. We still don't have a decent starting pitching staff, the bullpen sucks, we need a third baseman (we have guys on the bench that should be playing) and a catcher. Rookie of the year at first, one of the best young centerfields, power hitting left and rightfielder. A great combo shortstop and second baseman. It seriously comes down to the pitching. Only 162 games will tell.


I thought there were more games at your place this year, but I only found six dates on the schedules with the Brew Crew this year. You were lucky and squeeked out of Philly with two wins that the Phillies blew a huge lead late. Look for the Phillies to take the series. Bring it! Maybe when mid May rolls around I will have to bring the Tastykakes to the table.

From all the reports I saw it looked like you just kept getting weaker and weaker. Did Thome leave?

I opt for the whole spring training...spring is on the way scenario...I am very much looking forward to what could be the best Brewer team in at least 92
