RadioShack to close 400 to 700 stores
Electronics retailer's fourth-quarter earnings drop 62 percent


That's a headline on MSNBC.

A SIXTY TWO PERCENT DROP IN EARNINGS! That's pretty big!

I beleive it was Mz that hated Radio Shack.

Radio Shack can not keep up with Best Buy and Circuit City anymore. Radio Shack is just too small and has a limited number of products. You walk into Best BUy for something and easily come out with more. Where as you only buy whatever you needed at Radio Shack.

that is a shame! I never had anything that wasn't great quality from radioshack- my last stereo, small tv-vcr combo, computer cords, phones....

That's a very good point Fuzzy.

Hopefully they won't close too many stores around here. I really like them.

I have always found them to be the most knowledgable sales people of any of the stores, including Best Buy. They can always answer my technical questions. Or at least they pretend to know, and since I don't know the answer I assume they're right

I knew this was coming even before I quit in 2000.


They did some restructering in the last couple of years.


I am so glad I wised up and did something with my life!
