At least in Indiana it is. And every day at about 3, my motivation hits rock bottom. I'm tired, I can't stop yawning, and I just want to lay my head on my keyboard.
Does anyone else get this? I need some sort of picker-upper, but if I have a pop after lunch, I won't sleep that night. Argh!
Naps are always good. Too bad they aren't always practical. I have lunch around 1pm so my down time comes a little later than 3pm. I have no motivation (two more months).
Fruit is good in the afternoon - if you didn't have any in the morning.

I don't really get that myself now, but I used to get that when I was still living at home and working on the farm. About 3:00 in the afternoon, I would get this terrible, anxiety, frustration, almost anger when sitting on a tractor out in the field. I was not really upset with the fact that I had to do what I was doing, but more of just a mild going out of my mind with boredom of being out in this huge field going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.
I don't get that nearly as bad now, but still there are some days that I just can't force myself to go out to the shop and work on woodworking projects becasue of the boredom factor.
I try to lunch as late as possible in the day. If I don't, the afternoon DRAAAAAAAAAAAGs!! I also like to take a walk around the building during lunch. Gets the blood pumping.
Maybe mine has something to do with the fact that I do not know what I want to be when I grow up. Maybe I am tired of numbers. Maybe they are tired of me. Maybe I should just go back to work.

It's now almost 3:30 here in Indiana. I'm not too tired................ just want to take at least a 3 hour nap. LOL
My afternoons always drag - doesn't matter what time I take lunch. I try to walk around a bit more just to keep things "awake". Of course, I could always learn the fine art of sleeping with my eyes open............

Working bankers hours (9am-3pm) would be ideal. I would even shift it to 8am-2pm. That way you would still be able to run errands and make phone calls that can only be made during the day. I hate sitting in a cubicle farm and making personal phone calls. It seems as if everyone is listening. I try not to handle personal business while I am here.

My wife is a banker and she works from 8:00 to 5:15 every day with a meeting at 7:30 every Wednesday morning and many days she only gets 1/2 hr. for lunch. She wishes she could work "bankers hours" too. lol
I do not have bankers hours, but I do have flex hours. Get the 40 in anyway I want, but have to be here between peak hours 9-3. usually I am here 9-9 or so...
