The penguin sightings thread gave me an idea. We need to get a stuffed penguin and take pictures of it at hot spots around town. Then we can post the pictures and send the penguin on to the next person. It could be JR's trip around the world!

That sounds like fun. Little E has a few stuffed birds, I will bring them along to fun places.


 


BUT when we get to 1 on the counting thread- the bird has to come to see me in person!

That would be neat. I wonder if I would be able to get JR to sit next to the Liberty Bell. I also wonder if I could get that close and not be taken out by some security guy.

I guess it would be easier if we all had our own penguin instead of mailing the same one around. I'll have to stop by the store and pick one up.

And Fuzzy, even if you can't get him up there, you can take a picture with the penguin in the foreground and the Liberty Bell in the background...

I've actually been thinking about doing this for some time. Ray & I talked about it almost a year ago.

I'll see if I can find a stuffed Penguin that wouldn't cost too much to ship. It should probably be bigger than a beanie baby, but it can't be a HUGE one or it would be too much to ship around.

This weekend I'll hit the Toys R Us and see what they got :) As we ship it around the country maybe everyone could sign it or something like that!

Hey wait, but if we do the shipping thing, that could be cool! It would be like "The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants" (Yes, I watched that chick-flick, BUT ONLY BECAUSE AMBER TAMBLYN IS HOT!).

Just like in the movie, we could make some rules for it. Like you only get to keep it for 30 days, and when someone's having a bad stretch of luck maybe they get it next (for good luck).

Hey! This could be fun! Plus, I'll finally get to travel!

OH NO!

Please don't tell me that Mz!

I shipped the wine on Thursday via Priority Mail.

It was heavily wrapped in bubble-wrap and packing peanuts, but I was a little nervous because when you shook the box you could hear there was liquid in it (I was worried the PO might be concerned what was in it).

But considering how close you are I fully expected it to be there by Saturday. You BETTER receive it today or I gots a problem.

Nope, didn't get it today either. I'll have Mz check with her leasing office, maybe they dropped it off in there and didn't tell her.

But we are talking about the US Postal Service here. If you dropped it off on Thursday, it probably didn't go out until Friday, and technically it takes 2-3 days for Priority Mail, so maybe I'll get it tomorrow.

Molly, Carhenge is in Nebraska, but I'm not sure if Web is closer or if I am closer. Either way its about 250 miles away from me. But that would be cool!

If you don't find a suitabe penguin, JR, my daughter has a few. A couple real nice ones from Discovery Channel. She might be willing to part with one for the cause. 'Course, she might not... no guarantees - she's an animal nut.

I think I'm closest to the monuments, I'll get all the DC shots when we next visit the DC zoo to see the panda...
