We had Burger King . The boy called from the afterschool program at 6:45! The bus broke down. So I had to pick him up right by BK and the girl wanted to go- they have a 20 foot Sponge Bob on top!
Yes I'm feeling better & no I'm not pregnant. I think just something at lunch didn't agree with me. I was worried though because the hubby cannot get sick or they will postpone his surgery. So I was telling him not to kiss me.

A sucky frozen pizza. Frescietta's or something like that. The crust was more cornstarch than anything. But now I'm having some icecream to make up for it.
He has to have knee surgery because he has a torn menescus (spelling?) The pieces are flapping over each other and causing pain & at times the inability to walk. They are going to do some laser optic thing where they shave the pieces down so they don't overlap anymore. He did this playing golf at his 20 year work anniversary outing.

I fried up some chicken breasts and had these with bread and a salad. Monday is usually a big cooking day here because I usually stay late at work on tuesdays- so I have tonights dinner, tomorrows lunch, and tomorrows late night dinner squared away. I refuse to work late on mondays, it just ruins the good vibe of the weekend, and sets the pace for an unbearably long and hard week.

Man... I wish I would have had rubber pizza. I miss that. I had a choco-nana yogurt smoothie. Abs Diet... I drank half of it before I went to the gym and half after. Tonight is the Orangeman smoothie. Yippee!

How is that going MM? I find that stuff like that is hard to maintain. I like slow and steady weight loss- that I can realistically keep up. But quick fixs are appealing.
This one actually isn't in the "quick fix" category. It is more like a lifestyle change. I'm doing okay with it so far I think. It's only been a week. In the past I have done low carb with tremendous success... I lost 80 lbs in about a year and a half. I didn't even bother with exercise until about the last 6 months of that. Eventually I fell off the wagon for a couple years and put about 25 of that back on. I started back at the beginning of the year and was doing well, but my sister talked me into giving a try to Abs as it is a more balanced eating plan. I've lost about 17 lbs since the beginning of the year which I think is pretty good.
The hard part for me is that under this plan, they want you to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks per day. I'm not used to eating so much or so often. It's also kind of tough to maintain the even spacing between the meals with my job. Last week I was putting in 12-15 hour days (and in some cases nights too), so it is hard to plan for that. They also have a work out program that is significantly less than what I am used to. I'm trying to adjust to that, but I can't see limiting myself to what they recommend. I probably do lift too often, so I'm trying to cut back the amount of days I lift so I can get better muscle recovery.
I'm going to re-evaluate the whole deal at the end of the week and see what I think then. So far, I think this might work out. Last week was a tough week to gauge off of, but I still lost 2 lbs.

On Abs you can pretty much eat anything. They have a recommended list of "power foods" that you should try to build your diet around... oatmeal, raspberries and other berries, eggs, turkey and other lean meats, spinach and other green vegetables, whey protein, yogurt and other low fat dairy, beans and other legumes, almonds and other nuts, olive oil, peanut butter, whole wheat breads and cereals. The recommend you limit alcohol consumption, refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, high fat foods... things like that. They do give you one free meal a week during the first 6 weeks where all bets are off. When you go into maintenance mode, they say you can up that to 1 free day. Honestly the eating plan is more liberal than low carb is, so I'm actually hoping this works out. We will see!

Yeah it's a chain. For chains we have Lil Squeezers (nickname), Cottage Inn, Papa John's, Hungry Howies and Pizza Hut. We sometimes get pizza from where hubby works too. That's just a family Italian restaurant.
