Is anyone else having this problem? When I started my live365 player this morning, I got an error message that said there was no internet connection available, so I dumped it, intending to go to the webpage and download the software again, but I can't connect to the webpage either. I get a message that says live365.com could not be found.
It wasn't working last night either, and that was Live365's fault, so maybe the problem is reconnecting once it was back up. But FFR can't totally be down, because the request system and now playing page still works. (So of course, I requested Jane while none of us could hear it.)
I'm taking this opportunity to complain about what I am listening to. At the moment I am listening to a local radio station online. Apparently they can't play the majority of the commercials online, so in those spots where those commercials would be, it plays elevator music. I keep hearing 20 seconds of soft elevator music, then station ID, then more drab jazz, and sometimes the station ID again! And the filler music is really quiet, so when the station ID or next song comes on, there's a significant difference. It's annoying and makes me realize how many commercials they really do play. I'd rather have the commercials, at least I can tune them out.
I just did something totally stupid. It's 10:14 (9:14 central) and Don't You Forget About Me came on the radio. I thought, "Oh good, JR's on, maybe he's fixed the player."
We seem to be unlisted now from a supposed "DMCA Rule Violation"
If we break the RIAA rules they slap us with three hours of being unlisted. Hard to imagine we broke the rules WHEN WE WEREN'T EVEN ABLE TO BROADCAST!!!!
