DNS Problems at Live365: 6:10 PM Mar 1 2006

A DNS server change at Live365 is causing access problems for users on some networks. We are working with Network Solutions to resolve the DNS propagation problems. Unfortunately, some networks take longer than others to pick up the DNS changes. If you know how, you can set your PC's or router's DNS to point to our DNS server at 216.235.80.35 as a work-around.



I've finally found out what the issue is and have done their recommended temporary work around. We're back on the air (for now).

Well, for most, just waiting it out will be the way to go, supposedly they'll have it back running in 24 hours or less.

If you REALLY gotta connect, and you're still getting the LIVE365 not available screens, you can do this...

CLICK START> SETTINGS> CONTROL PANEL

CLICK NETWORK CONNECTIONS

CLICK (open) LOCAL AREA CONNECTION

CLICK PROPERTIES

HIGHLIGHT "INTERNET PROTOCOL (TCP/IP)

CLICK PROPERTIES

SELECT "Use the following DNS server addresses"

ENTER 216 235 80 35 INTO THE PREFERRED DNS SERVER AREA

CLICK OK


This will let you view the Live365 website again and tune in to music.
