When I think of frozen food I'd actually eat, I think of frozen vegetables, which are really convenient and easy to prepare.

I can go for the occasional frozen pizza.

Really the only other frozen foods I'd consider for meals are these Jenny-O frozen turkey roasts and Reynold's Pasties. Oh and Frozen Raviolli to boil is ok too.

Even food I cook, I don't believe in freezing the left-overs, because it just doesn't seem appealing to think of dinner and think of having to dethaw something from a month ago and that will be a meal....

Or when you see the people going ape over their Encore Bistro meals.....a meal from a box just doesn't seem desireable to me....

Is there frozen foods you like? Anything in particular that you'd recommend?

Well for breakfast the kids love the new toaster streudels- like a gourmet pop tart! At least to them. Also they like french toast sticks- ez to heat up and serve with syrup as a dip.

For lunch I almost always have Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisine- some of them are really good. Better than fast food or a sandwich!

For dinner I do like Stouffer's lasagna and chipped beef. Of course the lasagna is no match for homemade, but the way I like to make it, Stouffer's is quicker, cheaper and more convenient. I also like to buy frozen broccoli and cauliflower. Of course Tombstone is tolerable for an occasional quick dinner. The kids like frozen chicken nuggets sometimes too. Oh and I used to buy Banquet chicken- but have not in years.

But dessert is the best meal served frozen! If it is ice cream or cake related !

I agree on the leftover thing JD, but I have made chili that way and reheated and it tasted about the same!

I get a lot of frozen things, but not a lot of those already prepared type meals. I can't stand Healthy Choice or any of those frozen lunches. We do like pot pies though.

Let's see, other frozen things we get:
I like to get frozen salmon, in Indiana, fresh salmon isn't really an option.
Fish sticks & french fries
Sometimes I'll get frozen chicken patties.
Creamed chipped beef
Every once in a while I'll get waffles or toaster streudel (which isn't new by the way).
I'll make a huge batch of cookie dough and freeze it so I can pop a few cookies in the oven at just about any time.
My hubby will make a huge batch of spachetti sauce and freeze it. We can live off of that for weeks.
And of course, ice cream and popsicles.

oh hey some of the Encore stuff isn't too bad- salsbury steaks, served over warm bread/toast wasn't too bad, the veal-parmesan served the same was was pretty good (for those into veal)....in fact their stuffed peppers aren't bad at all....I liked them better than the first from scratch recipie I had for stuffed peppers even....

I think I would die if I didn't have frozen food.  I am too lazy to cook and hate cleaning up the mess even more.  I love just dirtying a fork and a glass.

I like chicken pot pies. Plus there's nothing like throwing a pizza in the oven when you're short on time or just don't want to mess with anything.

I agree ray--and I love the Lean Cuisine as long as it is not fish.
