FYI: I like the sound, too. This song was produced by the wonderful Todd Rundgren, which I believe has a lot to do with it.

LS- I know the name, Todd Rundgren, but can't place him. Who is he?
Well, most notably (in my world), he worked on 2 of the greatest albums ever produced: Meat Loaf "Bat Out of Hell" & Jim Steinman's "Bad For Good." He produced, played guitar on, and worked on arrangments for both of these amazing albums.
He was a member of the bands Nazz & Utopia. He has had several solo hits of his own, as well. Also known for Bearsville Records & Bearsville Recording Studio in NY. He directs his own videos, and was a pioneer in that field - the guy's amazing. He also raised Liv Tyler as his daughter. And currently, he is touring with "The Cars" (And I put that into quotations, because I have an attitude about it. But we've been over this in an older post...)
