Ok I do not remember this as a kid, but it is pollen hell here right now. It started last week and will continue for about a month or so. As the Dogwoods and azaleas, etc... bloom EVERYTHING is yellow. My blue minivan is COVERED and looks green. WHen it rains the puddles of water have a yellow film. As hot as it gets, we hate to open the windows and make it worse inside your house. One hour after opening the windows, you can dust a large amount off any surface. So am I having selective memory or does that happen everywhere!
Give it a couple months, and it'll be like that here. Not exactly yellow, but almost like everything is covered in a very fine thin dust. But hey, our town's called Bloomington for a reason! I think ours is mostly tree pollen though.
At any rate, time to buy stock in Claritin. I must look like I own a meth lab!
I don't know- I used to get a touch of hayfever in the falls, but have been fine for the past couple of years. I think a lot of it depends on if we're getting a lot of wind off of the lake, to keep the air moving. I can't say that I've seen the yellow pollen all that much around here, certainly not in the house.
