Taylor is something else hey Susan? He's like a modern day Michael McDonald or something. I really like that kid too! Although I don't think he'll win.
I'm impressed with SO many of them this year. That Paris is incredible for her age.
I figure Chicken Little SHOULD go tonight, but I imagine he's got 12 year olds all over the country voting for him
Yeah! I agree JR - there's a lot of talent this year. Taylor really commanded the stage last night. I was impressed! It will be interesting to see how good KP does w/the different genres.

For a lot of them, I think a key is managing their personality when they're NOT singing.
Earlier on Taylor was a bit annoying before and after the actual performance. Last night Paris was bordering on annoying when she wouldn't stop singing while talking to Ryan. Kellie is cute, but she's overdoing it a bit with the farm-girl bit and last night was almost uncomfortable to watch her sit and talk about how she never had fake eyelashes before.
I suppose that's all just typical youth-like immaturity, but hopefully they'll be coached to reign it in a little before they alienate too many voters.
Or, then again, maybe I'm the only one who finds that annoying
I don't normally watch the show but I have seen 2 performances by Taylor and I really like him. Even with his seizure-like dancing! LOL! I liked Bucky's performance of "Wave On Wave" & last night the girl that performed "Until You Come Back to Me".

I completely agree! KP is coming across so uncouth it's embarrassing. Part of being the American Idol is how you conduct yourself when the singing mic isnt' on. Something a few of them need to learn!

Taylor definitely has that Michael McDonald sound that I really like. I feel like he should be dancing with Dan Akroyd and John Belushi too. I see him with a definite future but not as a "Pop" star.
I'm with you all on too. The country bumpkin Kellie act is getting old. I hope they aren't encouraging her to act that way. But then it scares me more to think that might really be ALL her! I love her country sound though. Boy, she butchered Stevie though.
I wish they would have it where the public called in to vote who to kick off instead of the other way around. I always have multiple favorites and pick the worst. I thought it was Chicken Little last night but I'm afraid the teeny-boppers of America are going to keep him around for a while.
You know, it's weird you say that about Taylor, because when I was watching last night I thought "There's no way this guy is winning, but he's still gonna do very well". I know I'd buy his album when it comes out. Even if he is out early, he'll do alright.
I'm holding out hope for Kelli because I remember what a dufus Kelly Clarkson was. She was SUCH a teenager when she started, and by the end she was totally classy. So I think there's a chance they'll teach these kids how handle themselves.
You can just see how much Simon HATES when the kids act that way too. Even when he likes them, if they act kind of stupid talking to Ryan they'll usually show Simon and he always looks a bit annoyed at it.
I think he likes them to be humble and respectful, yet fun.
Then again, he champions people like that Brenda, who was just an egotistical jerk.
