I just haven't had a chance to get out to Toy's R' Us Molly. I don't really even know where one is anymore, and that's the only place I can think to buy a big stuffed Penguin.
But I'll check the phone book and see if there's any near me anymore.
Or, if someone has another idea about where I might find one, let me know.
Can I step in on this conversation. If I'm understanding this thread correctly, we're wanting to pass the penguin around all over the country. Are we to get out pix made with him where we take him and post them to the web? Have you thought of doing a "Flat Stanley" version. It sure would save you in postage. Bring him on down, I'll take him to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Old Opry.
I have a stuffed Opus that I got as a gift from my first boyfriend. I'd be willing to let him see the country as long as he came back home at the end of the trip.
PS: Did anybody else love Opus? I thought he was the greatest in the mid 80s.
You know, the more I think about it, this particular stuffed Opus would be perfect. He's wearing a shower cap and a Holiday Inn towel around his waist.
OK, I know it looks like I'm carrying on a conversation by myself here, but I have convinced myself that Opus should NOT come back to me. His final destination would have to be the FFR world headquarters in Milwaukee. And I'm OK with that. JR, he would need a place of honor somewhere though. Do you have a nice mantle where he could perch? He'd probably be happier with you anyway. Aren't you the loony bird that keeps your thermostat at North Pole igloo temperatures?
Tis true TG, I keep the thermostat at a cool 56. On special occassions I may increase it to 58 though.
Besides the fact I like it cold, it's an excellent way to keep guests from overstaying their welcome. Eventually they want to leave so they can get feeling back in their extremities
I don't have to have him for opening day, there will be other games. I just was going to take him so we could get started on our project. After all, summer is a good time to travel. I made a stop the other night and I looked elsewhere yesterday but I couldn't find a penguin. I will have to go up and around the corner to Toys-R-Us and see if they have any. They should.

Confuzzed- I had offered my Opus. Did anyone hear from JR if that was OK? I may have missed some posts. If it is, I need to get in the attic and find him before we fly out on Tuesday.
