Read any good books lately?

What book are you currently reading, or what is the last one you finished?  And do you have a review for us?

I am a big Nora Roberts fan

I am reading her Key of Light right now.

I just finished the "In The Garden" Trilogy from her which was very good.

My mother is a big fan of hers, too.

I just finished Marley and Me. It was great! I highly recommend it. I'm attempting to read a book for work, but it's not all that interesting.

Does it count for anything if I have been sketching out some thoughts for writing my own book?

A Bob Marley biography?

No it's about a dog named Marley. But he was named after Bob Marley.

I am currently reading Total Control: The Monkees Michael Nesmith Story.

It's an unauthorized biography, with a lot of quotes from reviews, magazine articles, interviews, etc. sort of pasted together in chronological order.  It's neat though, because the liner notes give the source with the date for many of the pieces.

I've got a 45 minute commute.  I started getting books on CD at the library.  One I really liked was called "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon.

My friends are trying to start me on a series by Janet Evanovich novels.  The main character is Stephanie Plum.

Has anybody ever read any of them?

I also like Lynn Austin.  She did a civil war trilogy that I liked.  The first one was "Candle in the Darkness".

my attention span is limited (kids), so i picked up a collection of short stories by an author whose work i've been wanting to read.  the lone ranger and tonto fistfight in heaven, by sherman alexie.  i've read some of his essays and thought i'd move up to short stories.

My mother worships Janet Evanovich.  Sounds like you guys might have similar tastes!

Close! I have a 16 month old daughter that lives, eats, and sleeps Elmo, So therefore Daddy does too!

Oh, and the attention span thing, very short, I can't sit for that long, I can play a video game for about 3 minutes and thats it. Movies on the other hand I can do!

that is so awesome sparky.  just wait until you have to do green eggs and ham 989 times.

I am a real geek, I just read A Merchant in Venice.  I love that book.  I just started A Midsummers night dream.  I go thru shakespear moments.  My wife loves Nora Roberts.  I have yet to read one of her books.  I did just pick up the 1,2,3,4,5 series of James Patterson.  One was great.  Looking forward to tearing apart 2.

If anyone likes Dean Koontz then I recommend "Fear Nothing" followed by "Seize The Night". This link should take you to his website for the book details. http://www.randomhouse.com/bantamdell/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780553579758

I was glued to this book and was so happy that there was a second book. The characters were awesome!
