No New Music Weekend

Sorry guys, the Russians double crossed me and didn't get the new Chicago album in, and I haven't had time to run to the store.

Maybe next weekend

It sounds like something out of a James Bond movie.

I hate that double-crossing Russian mafia!

Don't feel too badly Riggs, there are at least 29 other Chicago albums to listen to!

Maybe do a classic album weekend?

What do you guys think about doing another "Theme Music Friday".  A couple of weeks ago we did Soundtracks and I had a blast digging through the songs.  I was thinking maybe songs with "Cities" names in them such as "Bloodletting" talking about New Orleans.  Another idea might be songs that have "Names" in them like "G-L-O-R-I-A" or Elvis Costello's "Alison".

Are we choosing or doing both "cities" & "names"?

Will we have enough songs if we just do one?

After coming up with the idea, I'm running low on song selections.  I say we do both to keep the variety and options.

I'm game for both because I will have a hard enough time coming up with any! LOL!

Got my first 2 in. Unfortunately, I had to pick a different 2nd, because I got the evil "artist recently played" message.

I'm feeling your pain Molly.  I had Duran Duran's "Rio" on my mind.  It was a double whammy.  "Her name was Rio" AND it was a city's name!!  "Song recently Played." ARGGGGHH!!

Okay, I was able to get two in. I will have to think about it some more too.

So, I couldn't request New York Minute because Don Henley has recently been played, and now the penguin puts on All She Wants To Do Is Dance. You owe me a request, bird!

Kudos to Riggs.  Awesome choice.  If we were playing Scrabble, that would be a triple word score using all seven of you tiles!!

Bummer I only got a few in, but I'm home today & not really in front of my computer much. Next time let's pick the theme a little more in advance, so there is some time to think of songs to request. This is cool.

Have a good weekend, everybody!

Well guys, I had a blast today doing Cities.  We came up with a lot more than I initially thought we could.  I'd always ook to see who made the requests everytime I heard one come on.  Thanks for playing.  We'll do it again soon!!

Lady Strange-  I'm glad to know you were out of pocket today.  I thought you just didn't want to play.  Seems like we did mostly cities today. Let's do our "People's Names" next.  Can we save it till I get back in town the following week?

The problem with those is we get stuck on one type of music. With theme days like cities, names, etc., we get all different types of music.

Thanks - No, I always wanna play!

I took the day off because I had some vacation days coming to me, which need to be used up, and had a late night on Thursday - went to see Lee Rocker playing in NYC. He and his band were amazing!!

Some other theme ideas for the future: Cars? food? Flowers?
