Cooking tips

TIP:Heat up leftover pizza in a non-stick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really works.

Someone sent this too me and I thought in the past we used to share recipes- how about some tips?

That pizza tip is a good one I think to try. The microwave ruins cold pizza and I have no patience for the oven!

if you order a medium instead of a large there won't be any crusts left to warm up , there by saving you money on your electric bill. then you can use the savings to go to a nice restaurant .

Ok I'm own this weekend guys and I have hamburger to use up. We pulled it out for dinner last night but ended up getting Subway. So my question is: Do any of you have any tips on spicing up hamburgers? I'm not a big hamburger person and I will not be grilling out in the pouring rain. Hubby just usually does salt & pepper. If I have whatever ingredient you suggest in the kitchen already, I may try it.

My hubby makes them almost like a meatloaf- adds bread crumbs and eggs and then about ten different spices! They are good though that way!

Oh, I'm sure JD has plenty!

I like to cook the loose ground hamburger up and then mix it with some cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and enough milk to make it the right consistency. Then I eat it over toast.

JD has plenty of burger ideas.

Hamburger mixed with some finely chopped onions, thrown on the grill with black pepper works. Or just throw the burgers on the grill and add pepper and garlic powder.

I tend to leave my hambuger loose and cook it with green peppers, onions and mushrooms. Then I enjoy it over my spaghetti with sauce.

Ok I am reading these and thinking. I'm a picky eater so I guess I should have mentioned that. Not much of a meatloaf person, but haven't ruled that out, don't like onions or green peppers most of the time. There are a few things I will eat with them in it.

Oh and thanks for the suggestions & the ones to come!

a good burger, if you like spice, chop up some jalapenos, onion and a hint of hot sauce and mix in with your hamburger before you smash it into patties, top with pepperjack cheese.

I don't remember, JD did you ever try the bacon wrapped Jalapeno's we talked about last summer?

I did sparky- those are really good!

my idea is like sparkys. I was going to suggest a bit of hotsauce, minced garlic, ground black pepper.

Also, I've mixed in a little bit of salsa too and made salsa burgers. Too much salsa tho, and they want to fall apart to easily. this can be remedied by adding just a wee bit of quaker oats into the mix.
