Eagles reunion tour

My biggest musical regret: Not going to "Hell Freezes Over" tour.

Awesome name for the tour, but the ticket prices ticked me off.  You practically could've bought a decent car for the price of a family going to that show!

That is exactly why I didn't go: ticket prices. I really did want to go, but I just couldn't fork out all that money.

I saw them the last time around- without Don Felder on guitar. I wonder if that ever got cleared up in a court-room?

They actually played pretty quietly, kind of a mellow night. The Timothy B Schmidt stuff was boring.

Dare I say I've seen Don Henley 3 times, and 2 out of the three were better shows than The Eagles!

That is quite daring of you...

From The Eagles, I've only seen Joe Walsh (in 1983) and Glenn Frey (in 1985).  That's pretty lame, actually, isn't it?  Hmm.

I never saw the Eagles...love em to edath though.

I did see Don Henley when he toured with Sting a number of years ago as a double billing tour. He put on a great show. He did alot of his solo stuff and alot of Eagles songs and did not for note renditions.

What was cool was Sting is a great improv musician and alot of his songs turned into great, jazzy jams. The contrast between the two made for a great show.

As I've said before, I saw them in 1976. Hotel California tour. Needless to say it was a great show. To this day one of the best concerts I've been to. I guess it will always be since my concert going days are now few and far between.

I think the film footage for the video for hotel cal was shot on that tour ray? excellent dual lead guitar work with felder and walsh on the version I am thinking of....that would have been an excellent show to see.

Reminds me of a story a guy I work with who went to the Queen show the other week. The last time Queen were in Milwaukee was in 1976, and he had asked his 15 yr old girlfriend (now wife) if she wanted to go, and she said no, she had something to do that night with 4-H. So he took his buddy and was, for 30 yrs able to tell his wife YOU MISSED THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!! So when this version of Queen with Paul Rogers came around, they were able to go together and tie up this lose end. They both really liked the show, too.
